Sasha Lorenz, idealistic by nature, started writing the moment school and several theater productions didn’t occupy them anymore. Since then, their works have ever focused on the fantastic and the darkness within ourselves, often with romance or a found family cherry on top. However, despite amassing thousands of words, several short stories, and a few fledgling novels, they didn’t feel ready to publish their work until practicing the craft for well over ten years.

 

Thanks to their supportive fiancé and lessons learned through studying works by accomplished authors such as N. K. Jemisin or Brandon Sanderson, Lorenz is now confident in delivering their fantasy worlds to just the right readers, tackling depression, (C)PTSD, or similar topics—and just what it means to love while you feel like you don‘t deserve it.
